The air filter attaches to the front of the alternate air valve. Alternate Air Valve Assembly The alternate air valve is attached to the RH face of the air filter housing. The air intake has three main parts: - Alternate air valve assembly. A lever below the instrument panel, right-side of the pilot, operates the alternate air valve. The same sort of hose feeds the air from the alternate air valve to the turbo-charger. The air filter box is connected to the air intake duct via by a flexible hose.
